Bodog Mini Series
May 23, 2008By: smokkee Bodog Poker’s Mini-SOP will mirror all 25 Hold’em events held at the 2008 WSOP in Las Vegas this summer at only 1% of the buy-in. Three 12k WSOP Main Event prize packages will be awarded at the end of the series.
The Mini-SOP will run from May 30 to July 3rd on Bodog Poker with each tournament held on the same date as its WSOP counterpart held in Vegas. Buy-ins will be 1% of the mirrored event in Las Vegas.
At the end of Bodog’s Mini-SOP, Bodog will host a final tournament on July 10th that will award three seats to next years 2009 WSOP Main Event. Bodog is the 1st online site awarding seats to next year’s event.
The first Mini-SOP event will be Pot-Limit Hold’em held on Friday, May 30th, the same day as Event 1 of the WSOP. The buy-in for Event 1 of the WSOP’s Pot Limit Hold’em event is $10,000. Bodog’s Mini-SOP Event 1 buy-in will be just $100+9 to enter.
Players can enter all 25 Mini-SOP events at Bodog for a total buy-in cost of $821 with buy-ins ranging from $10+1 up to $100+9.
Players can earn a spot to the Mini-SOP Final Tournament on July 10 several ways. The top four players on the TLB (Tournament Leader Board) automatically qualify, while places five through 100 on the TLB will compete for one of 18 seats awarded in a Semifinal qualifier held two days before the final. The remaining five seats to the final will be picked from a random "Wild Card" drawing of players who have entered in at least three Mini-SOP events.
You can still win your seat to the 2008 WSOP Main Event on Bodog. Bodog guarantees at least six $12k Main Event Prize Packages in their weekly Main Event Semifinal and Player’s Choice tournaments. You can satellite in for as little as $1 or 100 Bodog Poker Points or buy-in directly to each of these qualifiers for $250+20.
Each Main Event Semifinal will award at least one $12,000 Main Event Prize Package with the Main Event Semifinal on Sundays guaranteeing two of the packages, which include the $10,000 buy-in to the main event, $2,000 for travel expenses, loads of Team Bodog gear and the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience Las Vegas in total Bodog style, including meeting the Bodog Girls and much, much more.
Sunday, June 8th at 3:15pm EST, Bodog will host a WSOP Main Event Semifinal Qualifier with 5 WSOP Prize Packages guaranteed.
