WSOP Freeroll Series Through May on Bodog
May 2, 2008By: Jennifer Newell As the beginning of the 2008 World Series of Poker nears, players are logging on to their favorite online poker sites to compete for their main event seats. There’s really only one place to go – Bodog Poker! Not only is Bodog giving away 120 seats to the WSOP main event, but it is launching a freeroll series to run through the month of May to give players an opportunity to win a seat for absolutely no money invested.
From May 1st to May 31st, Bodog Poker is offering four opportunities each day to play, of the entire month, in one of the WSOP Seat Giveaway Qualifiers. The qualifying tournaments will be held at 3am, 9am, 3pm, and 9pm EST, and players can enter for only five Bodog Poker Points. It should be noted that upon registering for a Bodog account, Bodog gives new players 50 points, which equals ten entries into the qualifiers.
The top 25 finishers in each of the four daily qualifiers will receive entries to the final tournament that will take place on June 7th, in which the last player standing will win the WSOP seat. But opportunities abound in the WSOP Seat Giveaway Qualifiers, as the winner of each one will also receive T$29 to use in a WSOP main event quarterfinal tournament on Bodog. Those finishing in second through fifth place will receive T$270 to buy into a WSOP semifinal qualifier, and sixth through tenth places will win T$109 to play in Bodog’s Sunday $100k Guaranteed tournament.
The final June 7th tournament will award one $12,000 World Series of Poker prize package, which includes the $10,000 buy-in to the main event and $2,000 for travel expenses, i.e. airfare to and from Las Vegas and hotel accommodations while in Sin City. In addition, the winner will receive a personal handler during their stay – a person who will ensure an enjoyable trip and procure access to private Bodog events with the Bodog Girls. There will also be Bodog clothing and other swag given to the prize package winners.
