Titan Hosting Huge $4.15 Million Event
Sep 14, 2008By: Jeremy Olson Many people thought that Titan Poker couldn’t possibly top the tournament they just recently held. After all, the tourney that was held on September 7th featured a huge prize pool of $2.5 million and many online players rushed to get into the action. Amazingly, right after holding one of their biggest tournaments ever, Titan has announced that they’re going to push the bill even farther this time around.
That’s because, from November 24th to December 7th, Titan will host their third installment of the European Championship of Online Poker and the guaranteed prize pool will be an unheard of $4.15 million dollars. The ECOOP III promises to be Titan’s biggest event to date and could get even bigger if more people decide to sign up.
ECOOP III will be a 14 day poker extravaganza featuring 14 different tournaments where the guaranteed prize money only drops below the 6-figure mark once. Kicking things off on November 14th will be a $250,000 guaranteed tourney which is an ECOOP No-Limit Hold’em event. Just five days later, on November 28th, players will be able to participate in another ECOOP No-Limit Hold’em tournament where the prize pool is even bigger at $350,000.
A couple of days later, November 30th features the same kind of tourney but the prize pool leaps up to $500,000. Over the next 6 days players will be able to participate in several tournaments with prize pools of $150,000, $250,000, and $300,000. And the events will be a variety of Limit 7 Card Stud, No-Limit Hold’em, and Pot Limit Omaha tourneys.
However, all of these tournaments are appetizers for the ECOOP No-Limit Hold’em Main Event on December 7th. The Main Event will feature the biggest prize pool of any of the tournaments as it has a guaranteed $1.5 million up for grabs. And the buy-in for this monster tournament will be $1,000 + $60.
But if you don’t have the cash to pay this buy-in, or any of the other ECOOP buy-ins, you can still be a part of the action by getting into the satellites Titan is running for all 14 of these tournaments. The best way to find the numerous amounts of satellites offered for the ECOOP III is to go to the lobby as a member and search for the satellite you’re interested in.
And judging from the success of both the original ECOOP and ECOOP II, you’ll definitely want to get in on the action anyway you can. Seven of the 10 ECOOP I tournaments went over the guaranteed mark with “wllkllu” earning the biggest payday at $220,000 in the $1 million tournament. ECOOP II also saw 7 out of its 10 tournaments go over the guaranteed mark and the biggest payout here went to “Jeanss89” who earned $315,000.
The money promises to be even bigger with ECOOP III so make sure that you’re there to get a piece of it!
