FTOPS VIII Announced for May on Full Tilt
Apr 16, 2008By: Jennifer Newell FTOPS is back! The eighth installment of the popular online poker series is set for May 7th to May 18th. There will be 24 events, including the $2 million guaranteed main event. Overall, the series will offer more than $10 million in guaranteed prize money.
After the FTOPS debut in August of 2006 with only eight events, the series has grown into an event that players all over the world look forward to. FTOPS VII awarded more than $15 million in prize money over 20 events, and the upcoming May series looks to outdo any of the previous ones. With 24 events to close out the FTOPS’ second season, the schedule is heavy with a variety of events.
The list of events, each being hosted by a Full Tilt Pro, is as follows:

Players are invited to monitor their status on the FTOPS leaderboard throughout the series, as well as watch video highlights from each final table with commentary provided by the pros and Poker After Dark announcer Ali Nejad. And when it’s all said and done, the winners of each event will have the opportunity to play in the Tournament of Champions on May 24th to win a $10,000 seat in to the 2008 WSOP main event.
Every player making the final table of an FTOPS VIII event will receive a limited-edition jacket, but winners will also receive a gold FTOPS jersey, special gold jersey avatar for use on Full Tilt Poker. This is in addition to the seat in the Tournament of Champions and a lion’s share of the tournament’s prize pool.
The time is now to begin entering satellites and participate in the FTOPS VIII Satellite Challenge. Bonus credits will be added to players’ accounts for meeting the qualifications and winning more than one entry into each tournament. So much to gain, so little time to win those satellites and prepare for the FTOPS VIII!
