German Player Wins Monte Carlo Seat on Titan
Apr 14, 2008By: Jennifer Newell While Titan Poker stays busy hosting satellites and awarding prize packages to some of the most prestigious tournaments around the world, German player Roland Shuster is gearing up for his opportunity to play at the European Poker Tour (EPT) Monte Carlo, courtesy of Titan.
Shuster is a 43-year old poker player who won his prize package in a Titan Poker super satellite on March 16th. He will compete in the EPT Monte Carlo while staying in a beautiful hotel in Monaco, trying to parlay his Titan Poker success into an even more lucrative payoff in the biggest tournament in Europe. “Many thanks to Titan Poker!” he said in an interview. “I’m glad to play in this great tournament and I hope to reach the money places.”
This is not the first year that Titan Poker has awarded seats to the EPT Monte Carlo, but the 2008 prize packages are the largest ever. Not only will Shuster – and other winners in the days ahead – be able to buy in to the 10,600 Euro main event, but he will be granted six nights accommodations at the Columbus Hotel in Monte Carlo, along with $2400 for his flight from Germany and other expenses. The prize package is worth a total of $20,000.
Players on Titan Poker have opportunities like the one Shuster took advantage of. There are satellites and qualifying tournaments running daily on the site to win prize packages to tournaments like the Asian Poker Tour in Manila, Philippines, Eurocity Poker Tour Madrid Open 2008, and 2008 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. There are also more chances to win seats into the EPT Monte Carlo as the event approaches in early April.
The Titan Poker European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP) II is also approaching. With its $3.6 million prize pool, players are clamoring for their shot at the competition. Satellites are running daily for these events as well.
