Jul 21, 2008By: Jeremy Olson Everyone knows that festivals are a joyous occasion where people have fun, hold parties, and meet new people. And the reasons why these festivals are held definitely varies as they range from celebrations over city histories to reveling in major events. Poker players can certainly appreciate the reason for the Irish Winter Festival as it is held to celebrate the game of poker.
Held in Dublin, Ireland, this festival is a poker lover’s dream and is capped off by the Irish Masters Main Event that runs from October 25th to the 27th. For those wondering what the Irish Masters Main Event is, it’s a three day Texas Hold’em tournament where a guaranteed prize pool of €1,000,000 (over $1,600,000) is on the line.
Titan Poker would definitely like to send as many people as they can to compete at the Irish Winter Festival since they will be giving away $4,500 prize packages twice every week. These packages will include the €1,650 ($2,600) buy-in to the Irish Master Main Event, four nights at the City West Hotel in Dublin which is worth €460 ($725), $1,050 for plane tickets and spending cash, and access to the exclusive Guinness Gravity Bar Party.
In order to get one of these great prize packages, a person just needs to enter one of the Irish Winter Festival Super Satellites. These two main qualifiers are held every Sunday and Tuesday and the Sunday Super Satellite Freezeout has a $200 + $15 buy-in while the Tuesday Super Satellite is a $50 + $5 re-buy/add-on (R/A) event.
