Instant eChecks Accepted at PokerStars
Apr 15, 2008By: Jennifer Newell Being committed to providing an easy deposit option to its U.S. players, PokerStars has initiated a program with Instant eChecks. With the withdrawal of Citadel eChecks from the U.S. market, the decision-makers at PokerStars found an ideal replacement with the new program.
Instant eChecks are easier to use than the previous program, and though they are available to all players, it is especially beneficial for U.S. players. Instead of using an offshore financial institution that sometimes requires up to ten days for verification before funds are transferred and available, Instant eChecks allow for deposits that are ready for immediate use.
The only requirement is that customers maintain a U.S. bank account. Instant eChecks requires the routing and account numbers, along with a security verification process that takes only moments to complete. Funds are then immediately transferred to the online account at PokerStars. In addition, withdrawals are just as easy, once the original deposit has had a chance to clear all banking channels.
PokerStars is happy to provide this option to U.S. customers. Not only is it completely secure and reliable, but players appreciate the speed with which they are able to transfer and play.
When the Citadel eChecks system removed itself from the U.S. market upon the passage of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) into law, Instant eChecks stepped up as the perfect alternative, as its banking facilities are located off U.S. soil. Instant eChecks are accepted among the list of U.S. depositors.
Currently, PokerStars is the only site that has fully implemented the Instant eChecks program for its customers. For more information on the system and the regulations by which it abides, visit PokerEChecks.com.
