PokerStars pays out over $1Million Dollars in prize money every year in Tournament Leader Board promotions, and now the payouts just got bigger, up to $4 Million dollars a year! The new Battle of the Planets is a weekly Sit & Go Tournament Leader Board that gives players a chance to compete for more than $3,000,000 in cash and prizes!
There will be eight divisions of Sit n’ Go tournaments in the Battle of The Planets, with each division being named after a planet. Each planet represents a different buy-in level, with Mercury ranging from $1 - $2.99 all the way to Jupiter which designates buy-ins of $300 and up.
Also, within each division, there is a Low Orbit and High Orbit Leader Board, with each division having its own weekly prize pool that will be distributed evenly between the two Leader Boards. This division of Leaderboards gives all players an equal chance to win, regardless of their bankroll or skill level.
For a player to chart on the Low Orbit Leader Board, they will need to play in 20 tournaments a week, in a particular division, like Mercury. To be eligible for ranking on The High Orbit Leader Board, players must play in at least 100 sit n’ go’s a week in a particular division. Players who play at different levels can win prize money in as many divisions as they can qualify in, on both boards!
More than $50K in prize money will be awarded EVERY week in The Battle of the Planets Leader Board promotion! Also, all players who finish the week in the top Ten will receive an exclusive ticket to the monthly tournament! In the monthly event, players from each division will play in a triple shootout for their share of another $50,000 prize pool!
