Titan Players Win Dominican Republic Trips

If it seems that there is news every other day about Titan Poker awarding prize packages to some of the biggest tournaments in the world, it may not be far from the truth. Only days ago, one player won two trips – to the Eurocity Poker Tour (ECPT) and the European Poker Tour (EPT). Now, the site is preparing to send two players to the World Poker Showdown (WPS).

Canadian player Cory Tymich and French native Damien de Gaye will be traveling to the Dominican Republic from May 9th through the 18th. The WPS tournament is an ongoing series of tournaments that has been organized into the WPS 2008 Caribbean Poker Tour for 2008. Added this year are the exotic locales of the Dominican Republic and Panama, and Titan Poker will be part of the island action.

Each of the two players won a $9,000 prize package to the WPS Ocean World, where they will stay for seven nights in May. The packages include airline and travel costs, luxury accommodations, all meals at the hotel, and spending money for any additional expenses.

Winner de Gaye has been playing on Titan Poker for less than a year but is excited to have secured such a potentially lucrative prize, not to mention the tropical vacation. Tymich, on the other hand, has been a regular player on the site for about two years, and the WPS trip is the fourth prize package he has won. While he is excited to put his skills on the line in a live tournament, he continues to prefer online poker. “It is so easy to get into a game,” he noted, “and you can play more than one game at the same time.”

As the two most recent winners prepare for trips to the Dominican Republic, Titan Poker continues to hand out prize packages to satellite winners on a regular basis. Qualifying tournaments are currently running for the 2008 World Series of Poker and numerous European tournaments.
