Mar 24, 2009By: smokkee Full Tilt Poker recently kicked off satellite qualifiers for the 2009 World Series of Poker held in Las Vegas from May 27th through July 15th with the Main Event Final table delayed until November 7th. Full Tilt Poker is the only online poker site that pays you an additional $10 million dollars if you qualify for your WSOP Main Event seat through one of their satellites and go on to win the WSOP Main Event. This $10 million is in addition to the 1st place payout. Peter Eastgate won last year’s event and took home over $9 million in prize money.
Full Tilt Poker offers many ways for you to win your seat including 81-player shootouts, weekly cash qualifiers and their 150 seat guarantee to be held on Sunday, June 21st. They’re also giving away 50 free seats, a $10,000 value through their “Race to the Main Event” freerolls.

The buy-in to their 81-player shootout is $200+16 with a $12k WSOP Main Event seat package going to the winner. A shootout has a slightly different format than a standard multi-table tournament. You must beat everyone at your starting table to move on to the final table and then finish ahead of everyone at the final table to win your seat. The top 4 places are paid:
1st - $12k WSOP Main Event Package
2nd - $2,100 cash
3rd - $1,260 cash
4th - $840 cash
Full Tilt Poker’s 150 seat guarantee scheduled for Sunday, June 21st has a $500+35 direct buy-in. You receive 3000 starting chips with blind levels escalating every 12 minutes through the first fifteen levels, then the blind levels are increased to 15 minutes through level thirty-five. Blind levels increase again at level thirty-six to 20 minutes. This is by far their best tournament structure of any Full Tilt Poker WSOP qualifier.
Compete in Full Tilt Poker’s “Race to the Main Event” to win one of 50 free $10k seats to the WSOP Main Event. Full Tilt Poker is running daily freeroll tournaments from now through June 21st. The “Race to the Main Event” consists of three freeroll tournaments; the first is a Round 1 SNG. Win a Round 1 SNG and receive a ticket to a Round 2 freeroll multi-table tournament.
